A great deal for you, your community, and the environment!
Habitat for Humanity Thunder Bay operates a non-profit home improvement retail store called Habitat ReStore, which sells donated home furnishings, appliances, and other renovation materials at a fraction of the original price.
The first Habitat ReStore in Canada was opened in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1991 and the concept has since grown to include hundreds of locations across Canada and the U.S.
It’s a great place for customers to scout out that unique vintage or retro piece for their next DIY design project and save big on furniture, appliances, renovation materials, flooring, lighting, cabinetry, kitchen and bath fixtures, and much more!
Habitat ReStore helps fund the Habitat for Humanity Thunder Bay homes we build for families in need of affordable housing in our communities. It also reduces the need for the production of new furniture and furthers our supply of natural resources. It extends the value of quality, new and used furniture, and household items and limits unnecessary waste, decreasing our collective carbon footprint.
When you donate to or shop, you’re helping to improve and strengthen families in your community — as well as the environment.
Through our affordable homeownership program, Habitat for Humanity Thunder Bay helps local working, lower-income families, who are living in unsafe, substandard housing, to build strength, stability, and self-reliance.
Your ReStore donations and purchases also mean that your perfectly re-usable household items and materials are recycled and given a good home, rather than going to waste.
